i just picked up my 09 JCW HT and it is a blast. I am not sure if I would dump your Cayman for it, but it would put a smile on your face!

 

I picked p an 05 JCW with every mod on it from Barrier Porsche for 26K bucks back in Feb. I love it and it will more then keep up with many of the cars on drives.

 

MNI resale values are high right now as the cars are in demand, That said, for 32K, I would be looking for a JCW GP. The GP's are rare and will most definitely hold their value better than a standard S or JCW.
FWIW, I recently sold my modded 240hp 05 Cooper S (see pic). I was asking $30k for it and got $26k on trade for an 06 M3. I figured realistic private party value to be around $27K. Also, Check with Rasmussen BMW/MINI in Portland (ask for Jerad). It pays to shop around, as not all MINI dealers are equal. I bought my first MINI from MINI of Murray in Utah as Rasmussen was to high on their convertible prices.

 

Consider buying from a out of state dealer. Many are willing to negotiate, but as has been mentioned, small cars are in demand right now.

My cayman is a 2007 black on black 24K Miles 5 speed with about 14K in mods softronic Flashed,Remus exhaust,Lowered H&R's 19" wheels ,Chrono package, leather,heated seats ,Upgraded sound ,Xenon lights,all kinds of custom Paint done to it .retail was $54.700.00 . Its a lot faster then stock see photo attached.will trade for Mini and cash(Or you could finance the balance ) I want 42,500 for the Cayman OBO .I am in it close to 70K will lower my price to 40K even!! for a good deal on a mini trade, i am in Seattle area so someone in WA or OR?
