New Daily Driver - 2009 MINI Jhon Cooper Works

Hey guys,

Yes, I know this is a BMW forum I also have an E46 M3 with the full CSL conversion including CF roof. This MINI is just insane power is grear, handling is just mind boggling this thing will make you pass out in the turns. I love the G's it could create in the corners and the brakes are just massive. BBK 4 piston from the FACTORY!!! 208 hp /207 Flb Torqe. The exhaust is great it pops ,burps and gurgles, almost sounds something aftermarket 3.5 inch tips!!! I purchased the vehicle in Kelowna B.C I had to stay the night there after I picked up the JCW as I was too excited the night before! I needed sleep so I stopped at a B&B. Anyone needing to trade in their BMW/MINI or buy a new car direct talk to Matt at Kewlona BMW. My coilovers are going to be purchased through www.euroautoworks.ca great ppl, great service.

I have been a MINI diehard fan for quite sometime and always wanted a JCW. I dont think this will be a DD though just because I love this car to death! The car has already been treated with swissvax mystery and was fully polished after the dealership said they would do a great job detailing it. They wrecked the entire finish so it had to be brought up to spec. Menzerna micro polish did the trick with the almighty FLEX machine from Germany. My modding goals are : KW coilovers, going to slam this thing. JCW steering wheel and performance software. BTW : This is the definition of a poor mans Porsche Turbo.

Sweet little Mini!

I'd do the wheels flat or shiny black to finish it off.

Congrats!!! Of all the hatchbacks, my favorite are the MINIs, specially the JCW's and GPs.

In regards to your comment that it's "a poor man's Porsche" not at all...a poor man's Porsche is a Boxster NOT a MINI. JCW is poor man's JCW Challenge MINI.

that's a sweet ride. you made me re-visit the MINI configurator! i'm thinking of making my 06 MCS a race car and need a replacement for public roads. a fellow MSC owner/track rat recently drove a new JCS car and was very inpressed. enjoy

Man I'd love to upgrade to those brakes on my 04. Anyone know if they're a direct bolt on?

Your JCW looks great. I am looking at a dark silver 2009 JCW and would like to know if the performance software you plan on adding is a factory product or is it aftermarket software. If you plan on aftermarket performance software for your JCW which one do you think is best?

Sort of ... Wife's car is a 2004 Cooper S with a bunch of Dinan upgrades. Upgraded the brakes to Brembo (via Dinan) and they're awesome. Needed new wheels and spacers though.

We both love the car and grats to the OP on his Mini, sweet ride!
