Racing on a budget can very trying at times, especially when you hit a wall your first weekend out!
Minibeast is back together. Not as pretty as she once was (still due a trip to the body shop) but she's ready to get back on the track this weekend with an event at Moroso Motorsports Park, Florida. Also looks like she may make it onto Speed channel later on in the month if the film crew makes it out for the weekend.

Yay, Minibeast! Glad to hear that you're back out again and that Minibeast will soon be prettied up, as well! You're going to want to look good for The Speed Channel.....

Did my first autocross and the following week driver's ed on the east course of Pocono Raceway. Did you read those posts? I brought the non-modified MINI, not the one I picked up down there, as I want to improve my skills without all of the extra boost. Though I am most certainly enjoying driving MINI-2. Funny thing, Jim said I'd never want to drive MINI-1 after getting the extra power, but I enjoy them both!

Doing another autocross this weekend.....

So Mark, which track do you guys run down there with the PBOC that has lots of turns and curves? Which is the best for the MINI? I would still like to join you sometime, since I didn't do Roebling.

Great to hear your working both Minis. I learned with mine stock before making any mods so you are going about it the right way for sure.
Minibeast did great this weekend. Won all three races in my class (R8). Ended up challenging the cars in (R7) for most of the race since there was only one other car in my class. (Miata) Poor guy almost got lapped by me. Never did find out what was wrong.
This weekend's event was at Moroso but unfortunatly it was our last time there. They simply have become too difficult to deal with and insurance now costs more there than at any other track in the area. Next year we have Barber, Homestead, Sebring, and Road Atlanta on our list of tracks booked so far. Check www.pbocflorida.com for the list of upcoming events. We should have next years list up in this week.
