Anyone want to sell their MINI S?

I'm looking for a 2004 or newer, fully loaded with as many options as possible.

Will take any color except BRG, Blue, and Silver (dark silver is OK!).

I'd love an aero kit & mods as well.

I know plenty of you own cars just like this, but why won't you sell them dammit!!

Check out the NAM board. Much more action over there for MINIs.

This board is for high rollers.

SKX, I've been lurking on the NAM board for several days. Most of the cars for sale either:
1. Are not well optioned
-or-
2. Have very high miles

Shanks was almost the perfect car for me...unfortunately he sold it a couple months ago.

How is it that spending $25K on a MCS is no big deal, but spending the extra $2K-$3K to make it a highly optioned car is so hard!

Because options add weight to a car that's already borderline too heavy for its size and hp. The sunroof alone adds nearly 70 lbs. in the worst part of the car, Harmon Kardon amplifier adds weight, auto-dimming mirror, Xenons, etc. all add weight. The base Cooper S is a tremendous performing car and comes very well-equipped already, a whole bunch of options don't necessarily make it better.

You can't possibly expect me to believe that people are bean counting the grams/ounces on a car that does 0-60 in over 7 seconds!

funny you should mention that one...I saw that earlier today. He seems to think $27,900 is a steal, but I was thinking more around $25K - $26K. Dealer trade-in is only $24K-$25K depending on the geographic region.

0-60 times? You can't be serious, nobody buys this car for gut-wrenching acceleration.

And yes, enthusiasts who have a pretty flexible budget for a cheap toy are bean counting pounds on a car that handles extremely well when lightly optioned.
