sad end to 2006

Although the Wife is in her middle 60's she never had a new car. Now she wanted a sportier looking car. She decided on an Infinity G35 coupe. She was not comfortable in the 350Z. And it had to be an automatic
We found a very low mile 06 coupe and that's the one she desired. The only problem we had to trade my beloved 03 MCS with all sorts of mods in order to get close to their asking price. Just this June I added a Alta cold air intake, Alta top mounted intercooler, Alta lightweight crank pulley, crossdrilled and slotted roters, new pads, and a obx header to the many suspension mods previously installed. She was really flying now. The purchase was just yesterday and I'm missing her(the car) already. Although the G35 is a beauty, it's no mini.
Over and out, irishmini no more

I should have made this title "a bitter sweet end to 2006". At least my wife is happy with the newer car. Last night she went out just to sit in it!
The hardest now is - no more track time. I was just getting used to driving the local track with excellent instruction from my racer friends. They loved driving the mini and could not believe how well it handled. One session, one lad caught up to and passed a 03 carrerra 4S, with the mini on street tyres. That was a great session.
Hopefully i will find another mini or maybe a Honda S2000 supercharged.
Thank you for the kind words.

I drove a modified mini S. The shift was like butter but I didn't like the whine. I've always like the exhaust of G35 from outside but not driven one. I think it's a step up but isn't the new G35 coming soon?

yes, the G35 is definitely a step up in comfort and probably looks, but not in performance, that is at least not on the modded mini i had. The 2007 G35 coupe is coming in March or April but that is more than our pocketbook can take.

The 06 and 07 G Coupes are gonna be pretty much the same...You want to look for big chances in 08 G & Z's The sedan already received its full makeover.

Call Greddy or APS for some twin-turbos and your G35 will not only look better, but will be eating Mini's and Carrera's for lunch at the track with about 400whp
