Saying Hello...
Saying Hello...
*Didn't know where to introduce myself, so I figured I might as well do it where our project car fits.*
Hello to 6speed,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been a lurker for a while and just really appreciate the clean and friendly environment 6speed offers. More then that, the knowledge that is being offered is simply overwhelming.
I wanted to share a little project that my father and I have been working on.
Its a 2004 Chili Red on Black Cooper S.
Modifications include:
*Orciari Body Kit
*18" DTM KREUZ 10's with custom offsets.
*Stoptechs up front with upgraded rear discs and matching painted calipers, and steel brake lines.
*Koni FSD's all around (I know it needs to be lower, but the roads where we are would destroy the body kit.. next time I take a tire to the front bumper, we go back to stock bumper and slam it
)
*Supersprint Sport catback exhaust
*17mm upgraded pulley
*Pro Mini CAI
*Sharked
*upgraded strut brace
*upgraded rear sways
*little odds and ends with the interior.
These pictures are old, and where taken with my old M3 (
I miss her terribly). I need to take updated pictures but the Mini Cooper section seems to be a little weak on visuals so here you go:

Again, Sorry for the crappy pictures gentleman. Not the photographer by any means. Obviously this photoshoot was not geared to just the Cooper. I will work on taking better pictures if anyone is interested.
I have to say, in some ways this car is more fun to drive then even my M3 (and I really kinda consider that blasphemy). It just a blast to drive and is like a go-cart on steroids.
Future plans would be sending it out to get Twin-charged. We will see.
Looking forward to getting to know some of you and hopefully adding some sort of value to this great forum... and to finish out my first post, I will throw in the DD for anyone who gets a kick out of lifted trucks....

Thanks for looking!

Russ- If it hasn't been said enough, Mexico Blue looks amazing.... great taste.
NYseal- seems rare to see a 997 C4S (at least that is what i'm presuming), especially modded..... looks great!

Are the wheels in the picture really 18" looks like 17" to me.

I will do my best to get the Mini forum a little more active. Hard to find a good Mini Forum.
Yes, believe or not, those are indeed 18's. Could be because of the car not being lower then it is, or maybe the BBK? The tire size escapes me (running slow this morning), but I can get that info if you would like. Thanks for saying hello!

..... wasn't long ago that 20's were just mind boggling big. Such is the evolution of the aftermarket world.
