New Aston owner from Chicago
I just bought a 2005 Db9 and while researching the car I came upon this website. So I decided to join.
I'm new to Aston Martins, I previously stuck with Ford and GM stuff. Mostly because that's all i could afford plus i like Mustangs. Im 32 and live in Chicago area. Wife, 3 kids and a db9.

Thanks Jason.
I'm loving the car but the attention it draws is weird. I've never driven anything that people constantly walk up to or take pictures of and at gas stations people always ask questions.
It doesn't help that I look like I'm 17 years old but they ask like what I do for a living. I'm a package courier sorry to burst whatever expectation you had. Aston did a great job making it look like a million bucks but people act like its not an affordable car but really anyone can buy one if they want to.

It'll definitely turn heads, especially if you look 17!
The prestige and experience is all part of the ownership experience - the attention is always going to be there.
I've still got plans to own a AMV8 myself one of these days, just not enough garage space!!!

Get used to the attention -- it's a relatively rare and very beautiful car. Even though it's 10 years old and you might have paid BMW 3-series money for it, I bet it still looks like the $200K car it was when it was new. Where are the pictures?
Enjoy

I didn't want to post any pictures until I got to take some good ones. Only ones I have are random shots when we picked it up. Here is the first time putting gas in. Lol. My wife probably reading Facebook updates while she waits.

Yeah at first I wasn't too sure about the hood stripe but in person I think that it looks good. All the chrome on fender vents and around side windows is covered in black vinyl and the stock wheels are painted black.
Wouldn't mind seeing more...
