Saw a GT-R today while in TT
Well there is some guy over on the GTR forums bragging about his 2:04 laps at TWS. That's about 5 seconds slower than a Spec Miata qualifying lap, and 12 seconds slower than the best GT3 lap, and 14 seconds slower than the best Z06 lap.
And where are you in this category?

Wow...big improvement...wouldn't call it pretty, but it moves out of the "ugly" category.
You know what it is. the front fascia is hideous. It's like they forgot to install a part ...or worse it's like a wrecked car waiting for its missing fabricated front end. There's a freakin gaping hole dead center ..it's horrid. I don't care how it performs and thank goodness Nissan didn't scar the Skyline lineage with this brick box heap.
If I wanted something remotely like this I'd drive Cadillac.

That's interesting that you say that, when my friend took me for a ride in his I couldnt get over how quiet it was. It did sound pretty cool though.
If a GT-R owner would like to put there car up against some Turbos, I can have a safe meeting to see if the car is really up to par with a turbo. The problem is that they will not come out because they know who is boss. PM me if you are interested. I will have several videos of the encounter.

Japanese cars
I just don't like Japanese cars, the way they sound, look, etc. Although I've read that the GTR has a "good" sound. The car is obviously amazing, but it's of a completely different culture. Just my humble 2 cents worth. I won't ever drive a Japanese car.
The GT-R is certainly a performer but for my taste it is "BUTT UGLY". This thing looks like a brick.
The video from Cobb Tuning and the GT-R on the dyno, was that stock?
A 464 rwhp result as stock for this car would then mean a 3% DT loss?
What is the true stock bhp?
BTW for me I'd take a Porsche. On a road course, heck forget the turbos, I'll take the 997 GT3.
Cheers,
Ranger

Exactly. Me too.
I wish we were closer. It would be fun. i still have not met a GT-R owner willing to come out and play.
