What does this have to do with 996TT?

 

Sorry for wasting your time. Thought it was a cool video and wanted to share. We seem to talk about the GTR from time to time - so thought it was a cool watch.

Did not look like a 996 front end???? Still enjoyed the video.

 

What do we know about the 996 GT3? It sounds almost like a cup car.

The GT-R is a beast. I'm hoping have my black one next month.

In this video it looks like the tables would have been turned had the GT3 been in front. During the long straight the GT-R pulled away only to be caught during the first few turns. Here is where the GT3 would have pulled away had he decided to pass. But then again, this thing sounded like a cup car - or at least race prepped.

I agree. It had the real life feel to it - without the media hype.

I am also with you - the 996 sounded nuts, and pulled super hard. It had me focused the whole time, and I have a hard time watching long videos - but had a good time here.

I know these guys, where do you believe you see fake?
It's a 390 HP 996 GT3 RS on worn MSC tires driven by the owner vs. a dealer's GTR.
Nothing special so far. Driving Nordschleife is always very driver-dependent!

 

Sounds like an RS, remember the 996 RS lost some of the sound deadening to save weight, it was the only REAL GT3 RS. But either way it sounds like a 996 GT3, a cup car would have been much louder.

Either way, the 996 was coasting much of the time, the GT-R looked a little antsy on the back end.

Enough with the GTR threads over here though.
