GTR 1/4 mile time
Thought you guys might be interested in what I saw last night at Bandimere raceway.
A brand new dark gray GTR and the two runs I saw it make were 12.6x at 117 and 12.4x at 118 mph. Pretty respectable considering an elevation of 6000ft. Sorry that I cannot remember the other x digit, but I think it was 12.61, but cannot remember the other one. The car looked better in person than it does in pics.
enjoy,

true, but you gotta take into account altitude. There is a huge loss in power at this altitude. I have noticed it with my cars having moved here 7 months ago. If you presume a 10-12% loss in power and add that in, you could see a difference of possibly 4 mph. I do not have any info on this car, but it was so new that it had to be bone stock and it's owner said it was. The car is definitely producing power.
Turbo cars loose less at altitude than NA cars. Using drag times correction for altitude at 6000 ft would put it at 11.8 and 122 which is about where a 997tt traps. Only real way to tell is line em up. Just a matter of time before we see it on you tube.

The only part that sucks about racing this car is that if you blow the clutch, you have to replace the entire tranny. That is probably a 10-12k operation.

i ran mine (without launch control) - 12.3 - 12.4 all day (6 runs).
high 116 - low 117.
auto mode and manual mode.
even if you screw this up you could still run a 12.5 just placing your right foot on the accelerator. any idiot could do a 12.5.

121 - 122mph...
if the track is prepared right, i'm thinking i can pull off an 11.2-3. we'll see this weekend (if i'm not putting rotors on).
my wife actually got an 11.48@ 117mph (she let up before the line - it was her first ever run down the strip, and she didn't know where the line was).

also, are you getting any wheel spin? or is it hooking up pretty well?
i have the cobb accessport... i've been messing with some tunes since early february. i've had blundering failures every step of the way. right now my car is stock, until i get another map from cobb.
i'm trying to do the e-tune crap, because my local cobb protuner doesn't want to pay for the license for just a few gt-r's in the area.
