Nissan GT-R SpecV unveiled!
i agree. except one comes with warranty, the other does not. perhaps that conversation will explore itself if the car ever comes to our shores...
Well at the moment it's hard to tell because not enough transmissions have failed. NNA have 6 transmission failures on record out of 1700 GT-Rs sold which means that if you were to buy a GT-R there is a staggering 0.003529411 % chance that your transmission will fail.
Be concerned, prospective GT-R buyers!!!!

Your attempt at sarcasm has failed due to your inability to understand 6th grade math.
either way, i believe the original point was valid - out of the 1824 cars sold, 99.65% success rate, and out of that remaining .35%, not all of them were denied claims, and the ones that were denied claims, did actions knowingly against the manual.
are people really saying that no car company denies claims when actions specifically stated in the manual are executed and those actions cause something to break?
show me this car company.

This is not to say that the new acceleration times with the new launch program is slow by any means. This is still a really fast car with great handling ability.
It was the right thing to do for Nissan to change the launch control programming for the new model year. All of this was just unecessary bad publicity for Nissan. Probably why we won't see the Spec V in the U.S. Just IMO.
well i'm sure you could reproduce lower stopping distances if you engage the parking brake... is it available? yes. recommended for stopping in the manual? no. covered under warranty if you stop the car everytime with the parking brake instead of the pedal? no.
i believe there certain parallels here.
why was there no outcry in japan a full year before we got ours? probably because they don't think you can dump a clutch on a cold transmission at 5000rpms on a 500hp awd car that weighs 4000lbs without some adverse effects.

and he's also not taking into account that at least 50% of those will be garage queens. He's also not stating that most of those failures occured when there was a whole lot less GTR's in the states.
I don't think that anybody can argue about the warranty claims not being honored if they were stated in the manual. The problem is that it was stated in the owners manual not to use something that was available in the car. All the 0-60 and 1/4 times that touted supercar numbers were achieved doing what Nissan doesn't want you to do as a consumer.

Even Ferrari and Lamborghini offer more equipment and performance with a 100% price increase...
