Switzer – 997 GT2 R911S vs E900 GT-R: Battle of the ultimate bolt ons

Since we had a little spare time in Mexico, we decided to do our own comparison to see which car could claim the title of “King of Bolt ons”. We lined up our 997 GT2 R911S vs our E900 Nissan GT-R to see how they would fare against each other. The race was from 50 - 160 mph. Here is alittle intro teaser video. has the gt2 been to the track for 1/4mi. times?

 

WOW, the GT-2 is significantly faster, pulling at the high end pretty easily IMO. Can you chime in as to why?

 

GT2 is not only lighter, but was running more boost than the GTR here. The GTR was likely at 750whp and the Porsche was at 800whp.

 

IDK, I hear Jamie's GTR got a little faster since then and Tym has spread some magic on it regarding its top end performance. I think a rematch is in order..

Yes, remember, the 997 has a lot of R&D time into it....the GTR is just getting started. Just with some simple 'round 2' tweaks he recently made (its the only time Tym has had my GTR back since he finished it in earlier in the year), I bet I could beat it now. I'll see if we can line them up again before it snows.
