New to Me GT-R

I purchased a Gun Metallic Gray '09 GT-R this past weekend. The car had 7,400 miles. I have had some pretty remarkable cars and this is definitely one of the best all around performers. It is an excellent compliment to my modded CTS-V.

Isn't it fun Congrats! I just picked one up this past weekend also. I LOVE it. I've had a few cars in past few years (including most recently-a very well built and highly modded 560 awhp 996tt - just investigate my posts- for all the haters out there. hehehe) and this one undoubtedly tops my list!

^ +1. I've sold all of my other cars, because they were all collecting dust (wasn't an elaborate collection, but I liked them all).

Thanks guys!

I love the GT-R, but I have to say the CTS-V is definitely more comfortable to drive around in leisurely. Right now my CTS-V (8.34s 60-130) is faster than the stock GT-R, but hopefully that will change soon enough!

And that is with an 8.6" crank pulley. I have a 9.55" pulley waiting to be installed. Hopefully, that should get me into the 7.9Xs 60-130mph. That will be something to shoot for with the GT-R. I am looking at the AAM GT550-R package (V1 intake, mid-pipe, Cobb AP and tune) along with down pipes. I am wondering if that will be enough to get a sub-8s time.

Congrats on the car!

I have the catless AAM DP , Hks Mid pipe and catback ..with a custom tune car should be 7.0-7.3 60-130

I ran 10.8 @ 129.23 so im sure i was in the low 7's
-------------------------------------------------------
If you really want to get into the 5's get upgraded turbos 700whp cost is around 5-6k for the turbos and under 700whp you can keep the stock tranny.

Hey bro. I had the 9.55" pulley on my V and yeah it was fast as hell. The GT-R with just y-pipe and tune is faster. The AAM550 will definitely walk away from a CTS-V on the highway and kill it from the dig. Totally different cars though with completely different power deliveries. I wish I could have kept the V but since I had to chose one I kept my GT-R.

Congrats!!! You're gonna love it.
