2011 Nissan GTR 0-100 km/h (62mph).......3.046 seconds!!
0-60 in 3.0 for under 100k. Unbelieveable.
If you are a car enthusiast you can appreciate this. If you are a brand junkie, it will be lost upon you until your brand does it. At which point in time it will be the greatest thing ever, however then the irony will be lost upon you.

from the video it sounds like they are using actual launch control, like Porsche and any car with a stand alone ecu... Retarding ignition, building boost, etc etc...
Also it sounds like its revving quite high and when it launches there is no wheel hop...
Cant wait to see the magazines testing it! We might see a bone stock GTR in the 10s like the 997.2TTS!!!!

It wont run 10's. I bet its close to 11.4 or so. Either way a sick time for a sub 100k car. The 2011 are getting very close to 100k though but I guess they are still 10 of thousands less than 911 turbo/s. I for one would only get a turbo porsche because I will only drive a manual trasmission. Also the reason I would never buy a turbo S. Then again if I Had the money for a 911 T I would buy the GT3 RS which is the more pure Porsche (along with boxster spider) in my opinion. I do love the look of the revised GT-R though and have nothing but respect for its performance to dollar ratio.
My '09 GT-R with just AAM mid pipe, generic Cobb 93 tune and HKS drop-in filters ran 0-100km/h in 3.44s (0-60mph: 3.30s, 0-100: 7.11s) and 1/4m: 11.30 @ 127.7mph, WITHOUT engaging Launch Control (just stomp and go off idle) as datalogged on my vbox (using a 1 ft roll-out).
The new GT-R is running .4s faster up front to 100km/s faster than my run. My car may have a little more power than the new GT-R, but I wouldn't think I am making more than 20hp over the new GT-R, given my very minimal mods. Those .4s advantage to 100km/h will directly translate to the new GT-R breaking into the 10s.
