GTR Seats!!! YUCK!!!! Need help!!!

My wife said the same thing about previous 911's and other cars as well. She said,"They just hold you in place" (referring to the material as well). I know this has changed recently, and she likes the new seats as well. I don't think she would like the BE seats... something just telling me. She wants a gunmetal on black GT-R Premium (for herself). The big selling point for me, is whether or not the NISMO comes out with all of those little winglets n' stuff. I think it looks like the GT-R always should have looked.Originally Posted by amerlemans

Surprisingly, the wifey said to me on our way to dinner last week "I'm very surprised at how comfortable these seats are...much more so than your M3 and Porsches before it".

Did you get a Black Edition? Big difference in the seats.Originally Posted by amerlemans

In fact, the only trim level that year was the Premium, I think.

Not to make light of your misadventure, but did you read "My Expensive Test Drive..."?
That's EXACTLY what happened to me!
Unfortunately only after I bought the car!Originally Posted by ryem3

Bummer! I'll need to bump my thread! I thought it was really only an issue with the BE Recaros. Originally Posted by Electron Mike

I love this, I post ON a negative thread about GTR's and I get negative rep points! I've gotten more positive rep points from my GTR thread than any other thread I've ever made...

Seats are definitely a preference. Originally Posted by ryem3

The GT-R is a sore spot for quite a lot of Porsche owners. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why. There are some deeper issues that this brings to the surface.

Not to go to those deeper issues, I would make one observation. In my '12 BE, the passenger seat was VERY comfortable. It was perfect. One of the few production cars I know of that has a different passengers seat and drivers seat. Of course there is no way to swap them but if there was...Originally Posted by jaspergtr

The Gtr tax is among the worst out there
Gtr seats do look bad...but unbelievably comfortable..I did a rally from sf to la. Two day event...my *** never hurt...I am 6'2 so that's what I can share...get your stock seats redone with dif material or design....the new 2013 look really nice
personally I don't think that the GTR seats are uncomfortable but I'm used to Porsche adaptive sport seats and there's really no comparison. Porsche *** seats are more comfortable in every way.
