Switzer Ultimate Street Edition: First time at dragstrip
You can do a somewhat basic tranny build with a billet first gear, and stock 2nd-6th which is good to 750-800 awtq (depending on the clutch). This allows for great power and quiet and civil tranmissiosn.
Once you start makking torque beyond the 900 awtq range, you probably need to upgrade the gears to a full billet set as well as go with a pro-max clutch. These will hold a lot of power, but are also loud and less civil.
Best way to do it is decide how much power you want to run, what your goals for the car are, and then choose the level of your tranmission build and clutch from there.
Great stuff Scott, 9's all day on pump in a daily driver...
Very true.
Truth be told, I was never a big Nissan fan, other than the previous R32, R33, etc.
Never fond of the 300ZX, 350Z, etc., and it did take a short while for the new GTR to grow on me, but if I where in the position, I'd probably be driving a Switzer 800 right now.
My Ultimate street edition ran 10.4 @ 141mph and that was with the tranny shifting in auto mode and 1200rpm too early.
was also a 2.1 60 foot. I cant lauch it properly.
best mile per hour was 143. and that was shifting automaticaly.
I only figured out 2 days ago that the manual shifting had to be done in R mode in order to get it to shift past 6800rpm. 8k is the trick.

Dive, let me know if you are doing a fall track rental.
Especially if it is closer like Cecil County, or Atco
I would like some cool weather to try some 100octane in my lil soccer mom truck
