Car stereo installation help

Hi all,

I'm looking for recommendations in the bay area who has experience in installing a 2-din system in my 2004 996tt-cab. I have MOST and Bose and realize that I'll need to change the amp but more specifically, am looking for a reputable installer who'll take care of my "Sabrina" .

Thanks in advance.

Understand that the MOST system is all digital, and you'll need to change more than the amp. You'll lose all your system functions as well.

Unfortunately do not have a recommendation for you.

I've been thinking about it too, and based on feedback around the site it seems that Sound Innovations in Hayward is the place to go.

Yes, I've come to that conclusion as well. I may head down there to "interview" them next week. I don't want anything too overblown but something nice, especially in a cab .

You could also try Autosonics in Novato if Neil is still the owner.

Are you trying to go with a NAV? If so, you may consider a nice portable one and just keep your Bose.

Alright, heres the one i do have. like I said the paint color looks off, but its just the crappy camera. I also threw in some of a 07 Carrera turbo I did for Brent Jones of the 49ers. That car was fully loaded and I replaced the factory nav for a Eclipse and did a painted custom box with a matching amp cover under the bonnet.

I also mentioned to the owner of the shop I do work at that I started posting on this forum and he said that he is willing to help out any of you by doing clear-bras for half price at $500 if you have us install a navigation for you.

Looks like 2 different systems. I have a 997 and want to change as well.
I want the best unit that has nav, bluetooth, sat radio,Ipod interface.
Which one do you think? I've heard of the Kenwood Excelon and some have used it and like it. What do you think?
Thanks for any help!
