I finally got around to taking some pics of my new car and thought I'd post 'em up.

I hope to make it out to some of the Euro Sundays events in Granite Bay and meet some local Porsche owners. As this is my first Porsche I'll be looking for all the been-there-done-thats that I can find. This is my daily driver so if you see a Meteor 997.2 C2, that's me! I'll be sure to wave.

Hi Steve. I'm interested in joining up with PCA but haven't had the time to take a closer look at it. I will though. Mendocino drive sounds great! I'll check my schedule, which is a but different than a Monday thru Friday schedule, and see if I'm available.

And by the way, I love the Turbo's! They were the first type of Porsches that I fell in love with as a kid. And then a GT3 ride along happend, etc. and I was bit. Someday, I knew I'd own a 911.

Med- where did you get your clear side markers and where did you get your carbon fiber interior pieces. I've been thinking about doing the same and haven't really gotten around to do so.

I got the side markers online here: http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/me...ode=AllCarrera from the reccomendations in the 997 forum and also personal searching. I think it was about ~ $30 total. Cost me less with shipping than stopping by Niello...

The Carbon goodness is actually OEM and came with the car. I hear db-carbon-interior.com/ is reputable but looks expensive. I haven't really delved into carbon fiber add-ons yet as I'm looking for other things right now. If you find a good place let me know.

I'll keep an eye out for you when I'm running around town.

Oops! I forgot to mention that. These LED's are standard on the 997.2 so I got lucky, if you will, that they're OEM. I don't know how to go about a retrofit and I wonder if the electrical system on a 996 or 997.1 has wiring/power compatibility for LED's? Or, if that even matters?

Sorry I can't be of help. Especially, since I plan on asking you to let me take a look at your TT at EuroSunday!

welcome to 6speed med. nice ride.

steveharris- you can get 996 LED tail lights on ebay. there was a group buy for them a while back, not sure if it ever went through or not. but i know there's a ton of them on ebay for around $600. Supposedly it's just plug and play.
