PGH Vintage Grand Prix- July 19-20, 2008

http://www.pittsburghvintagegrandpri...te/default.asp

Schenley Park is the scene of our nation's only vintage race held on city streets. This 456 acre golf course and park hosts over 2,000 show cars and well over 200,000 spectators for the weekend.
Anyone else want to attend?

it's an INCREDIBLE event, I know several people who went last year, I have a place to stay out there if anyone is interested and a good handle on the nightlife

I may be interested, thats on my birthday so it could be up in the air

CONFIRMED: If I go (75% positive I will) and anyone else (w/ a group in reason) will have a place to stay if you don't mind a floor.

If you guys are in the area shoot me a PM. I have a pretty fair handle on the socials around here. Though that's 10 days before the Bar Exam.

Small change of plans for me. I have a hotel room for the 19th only. I will drive out the 19th; party, sleep and blast back after the race on the 20th.

Okay, confession: I was born in Pittsburgh Went to the Grand Prix once a few years ago and was completely blown away. The cars on the golf course go forever. Imagine Bentleys as far as the eye can see. You walk a bit and then it's Ferraris as far as the eye can see. First and only time I had "automotive" overload.

And the racing was awesome. Watched this 356 hit a U-curve just right... tail hanging out, nose perfectly pointed.... just the wildest damn thing. If I'm around, I'm "in". No guarantees, but please keep me posted.

Just driving there is awesome as you pass these incredible vintage race cars being trailered. MMMMMMMMMMMMM - BABY!
