Hosting new car show/ meet in CT, need input

Hello,
So I work at Performance Outfitters Group in Stamford, CT. We do everything from car restorations to high powered stereos and high performance cars. One shop car, a 996 TT, is going to be featured in European Car in a few months (837hp) we also have a 356 as well as a wealth of other shop cars. We are looking to host some sort of car show/ gathering so people can come, check out our shop, we will fire up the grille and cook some food and just talk cars. We would also bring a few vendors so you can see their products, etc. We think it would be an all around fun time. Again the shop is very diverse with things from a 1942 restored Dodge pickup to the high end exotics of today (F430, Carrera GT, etc)
So what do you guys think? Good idea? I would really appreciate all input as i want to set this up properly and make it a great event.

For those of you that are close by, feel free to stop by and see us, we always have exciting projects going on.

sounds like fun, i'm down. i'd suggest u team up with one of the big dogs who set up major runs on this board and fchat (u could try to hook up with nymc). a run always attracts MUCH more attention and makes all the nice cars and people with deep pockets to come out. it should be a run/meet, also gives u an opportunity to take the shop cars out. go on a run/cruise early in the morning and get all the motorhead energy out, then meet up at the final destination which is ur shop. everyone relaxes and gets to know the place, i'm sure u'll get a bunch of new customers.

Thank you for that great idea, I think a run would be quite a bit of fun so get these cars out on the road and see what they can do.

I will look into this

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to take a moment to update this thread in a more formal manor. As the New Managing Director of the Performance Division at Performance Outfitters Group, it was number 1 priority to properly advertise on this forum. That meant getting setup as site sponsor and joining the group of well respected facilities that sponsor this site as well. CarChrisM5 will no longer be posting under his user name, I have created a general user for the rest of the POG staff as "PERF OUTFITTERS" which he will use along with the other staff where it is fitting etc...

In the next few days, we will make our formal site sponsor introduction post along with all the dates of the GTG's we will be hosting along with some great car shows we will be headlining. Mark your calenders to be available on August 2nd (POG Open House GTG) and August 17th....For this date, if you have a approved racing helmet, get it ready for GPNY!!!!....These shows will have their own deserving post.

Needless to say, the entire Performance Outfitters Group Staff is excited to have a home at 6speedonline.com and I promise you our post will be full of good and useful info along with exciting builds featuring the latest technology in Performance, Restoration, and Audio on top of our storage and transport services.

Respectfully,

Brian Rosenberg

Managing Director
Performance Division

Performance Outfitters Group
20 Crescent Street
Stamford Ct. 06906
203-975-1188

PS: In the next few days, I will have a POG email and Blackberry which will make response times to emails and threads faster than ever.
