Philly Area 6Speeders,

Anyone in the area with a C6 Vette (non ZO6) with an aftermarket exhaust? My Father just got an 07 Vert and is looking to do some pipes in the near future so wed like to hear some in the wild

Prefer to hear cars with ONLY exhaust done -- and would like to hear Borla, Corsa, etc.

Any leads much appeciated.

He wants exhaust or you want him to get exhaust?

 

When I had my '05 C6 (not my C6Z06) I had a Borla Stinger exhaust on mine and it sounded wicked...it did have some low drone crusing in 6th gear though. I personally think Corsa makes the best exhaust for the C6 Vette. Go to CorvetteForum and do a search, there's got to be a ton of clips over there.

Thanks Scott. Yea, he wants a nice growl but nothing that is too offensive (he is 66 yrs old). I have heard EVERY sound clip on the interweb but he doesnt like the idea of buying an exhaust after just "hearing it on the computer" so i am doing my best to find a 'real life' sound clip for him

 

Jon - I don't blame him a bit for wanting to hear it in person. I agree that all computer clips sound different for the same type of system. I love the fact that he is 66 years old and still wants a little growl. I pray to God that I'm still able to enjoy cars like your father at 66 YO. Best of luck to you guys.

btw - I'm lookig forward to seeing your CaymanS mods. Been lurking in those threads. I miss mine so much and my wife misses it even more.

 

Jon, I suggest hitting up Phoenix Motors over in Phoenixville. It's in the same complex as the PCA meet we had last year. They do some amazing work. I'll have to see if I can find some vids.

I heard a CORSA w/Xpipe today at County Corvettes in West Chester and that is the system we are going with. Stay tuned....

 

yeah I had Corsa Sport on my C6's was awesome. ZERO DRONE, loud at WOT, quiet at cruise.

I would put this in the NE section of the Corvette Forum, you will get a much better response.

I can tell you a few guys in the Ridley Creek State Park gang have aftermarket exhaust and usually get together every Sunday for breakfast and then hang out in the park and BS.
