Hey question for you guys. On the drive two weeks ago a fukin state trooper pulled me over after I left the group and was heading back. I was not speeding at the time...he was going the opposite way as I was coming to a stoplight approaching I-5 off highway 12. He pulls a u-turn, follows me for like 20 seconds and pulls me over for not having a front plate. Instead of giving me a warning he gives me a fix-it ticket, basically wanting me to drill holes in my car and put a front plate on. I have never had a front plate on any of my cars for 10 years and I have never been pulled over until this guy. Suggestions please!

So is the CLK a genuine CLK DTM? I thought those were not even brought to the US or allowed here?

Nope, actually a body kit on a Fiero with a small block Chevy powerplant.

Yes, it's real.

You know its a Fiero with a Chevy v8 come on now. How did you manage to get one here. I though they were never brought or sold in the States?

I've managed to get away with the fix-it ticket twice. I just carry the front plate with me in the car and tell the officer that the dealership never mounted the front bracket so I don't have a place to put the plate. That works every time. I have a feeling that my luck will run out soon though. An alternative which wouldn't be very pretty would be to get the tow hook front mounting bracket.

Not very pretty but at least you wouldn't have to drill holes.

Get it from here: www.moweraxle.com/

Hey all

great to be back and meet my old friends. Also great to meet the new faces.
Ben - sick ride!
Vince - love the new ride!
Mitch - love the way your M looks!

Sorry I couldnt go on the whole drive but the I90 was fun - pretty much kept the car in 6th and 2/3 throttle. She was still pretty responsive. Its hard to resist WOT though.

I saw it on I90
from 60-70 or so until Vince let off, the gap was widening rapidly...

it was close for about 2-3 seconds and then gone...

Having ridden in Vince's car... it is fast... the DTM is super fast!
