Anyone have access to a lift?

I need to change the oil, & do a minor tune up, cap & rotor, & plugs. I have all the tools, just need a lift. The car is just to low to work on it in the driveway.

Have you tried rhino ramps? They work great.

So your tires hang over the edge? I don't feel so conformable wrenching the car like that, the front would have to be on jack stands. They don't get in your way?

My buddy has lifts in his shop. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if we used them. Just drop on by . . .

Little Rock. Just head south until you hit I-40, and then hang a left.

Jack the center of the car at the usual engine case location. Slip the ramps under the wheels and proceed. Having the car on a lift would be more convenient but is not required by any means. I have done this a few times and it works fine.

I don't have a lift, but I have 4 jackstands, 2 rhino ramps and 2 hydrolic floor jacks, I'm sure we could get that sucker in the air no problem. I live up in Kenmore though, it's a bit of a drive, but if you get desperate. Just shoot me an e-mail mitchelrl@gmail.com and I'll send you the mapquest directions.

I'll be around all of Saturday, I have to clean up my hot tub and do some yardwork, so you can go crazy.

Not much if at all in terms of the tires hanging over. I changed out my entire exhaust system on the ramps.

Yea, you realize, this the NORTH WEST forum, not the South forum.

Thanks, but I also have jacks & jackstands. I can do it in my driveway, I just would prefer not to. As it's pretty cramped under there, & it is over 12qts of oil. Thanks for the offer.

What kind of ramps so you own? The ones out there are for 9in rims max.

Doing the exhaust & doing a oil change are very different, I can almost drop the exhaust with out even jacking up the car. My car is much more involved, there are 2 oil filters, & much more oil, plus getting the spark plugs out isn't easy, I got 12 in there.

I have 15 bays. You're welcome to use one at any time.

Seriously, rhino's are perfectly safe. Block the wheels. Use additional jackstands if that would make you feel better, but they're not necessary.
