Smile Last AutoX for this year NW members!

Hello!

Just wanted to let you know that the last PCA NWR autoX is this Sunday, November 11th. It's at the Bremerton Motorsports Park.

PCA isn't scheduled for any more until Spring, now.

If you log onto PCA and pick the NW region, you'll see the info. You don't have to pre-register. You can just show up. But, don't get there later than 8:30 to register or else it's too late.

It's $25.00 if you are a non PCA member or if you don't pre-register. Otherwise, it's $20.00.

I hope that you guys can make it out! It's not supposed to be great weather, but that's okay. It's still fun!

See ya there!

oh man, i saw the silver boxster in the video....and thought...whoa! i hope that wasn't me! ! i've done some doozies out there, but haven't done that........yet. i'm sure i'll top it some day . if i did that, i'd just laugh it off and swallow my pride....and then cover my embarrassment up w/ some more laughter. =)

there should be a saying...."what happens at autoX....stays at autoX".

That was me driving last year. There was so much standing water on the track, it was impossible to get traction. Did you notice how the car just picked up and started to spin? Good times that day. I had at least 4-5 spins.

haha! and VERY graceful if i must say so! i was going to compliment the race # magnets. they look good! at least you put on a good show for everyone!

the most embarrasing thing that i've done was at the last one i went to, it was a pretty technical course...anyway, at the end, i missed the turn to go out towards the finish, and went straight, which headed me back towards the middle of the course. they had to red flag me. whooops! i think i took the corner a wee bit fast.

ef996TT.....

you should come too! it's truly a blast! i was hooked after the first time. an excuse to drive like that and not get into trouble? hey! i'm in!

hope to see you there!

I recently joined PCA. I've heard that the PCA autocrosses are very poorly run though.

Standing around pretty much *all* day instead of 1/2 of the day with AM and PM run groups like an SCCA event or WWSCC event.

Any truth to that?

In any event - I don't really enjoy auto-x in the rain so I'll prolly skip this in any case.

Just checking...

hi jeff,

yep, you're right. you do a lot of standing around. they have 2 to 3 groups. usually, with bad weather, just two. it starts at 9:30 am and goes until about 3:30.

as far as the weather, well, it looks like they are saying showers in the PM. so, hopefully, we won't get drenched.

we'll miss you, but if you're bored, you know where to find us!

jody

That video sure brings back the memories. I was also there that day and did exactly the same thing on that part of the course but managed to stay on the pavement. It felt like I was spinning forever. Doing course work that day was about the wettest, coldest I've ever been in my life. Oh what fun. I'm already pysched for next season.
