Glad to hear that he likes it. BTW, how long does the clutch on P-cars last on avg? I have heard that they tend to last only 30-40k miles, which is a crappy lifespan!

hi jay,

well, i had no idea about how long they last until now. Todd says it wasn't him! lol!

anyway, to answer your ?......these guys here that have had pcars would know better than i. i'm a pcar newbie. mine is now at 41K, but everything feels fine. i have definately done more w/ mine than todd has his. autoX, etc. but, we'll see how much longer mine lasts. some of these guys have gone beyond the 40 to 60K without a problem. i hope that will be me!

oh well, we figure, if you want to play, you have to pay!

grrr! snow today! can't test out the LWFW! haha!

can't help I've never owned any of my 15 porsches more than 10k miles. 30-40k is a pretty long time for a sports car though.

I had 41k on my e46 M3 and everything was perfect, and I drive my car pretty hard. But then again I am not the type that does burnouts or abuses the clutch.

fly2low can only hope to improve
late to this thread. Another vote for Colin. Honest guy, does good work. Check him out when you need a corner balance and alignment.

I'll be having my coil-overs installed at Cantrell as well. Jason, did you get your car back yet?

Jody,
Just read about your clutch. PJ is correct, glad you went w/the LWFW. It is all good, only downside is some clutch chatter at idle and low RPM's. The chatter reminds me a little like a diesel clatter. Hey, slap on an exhaust and you'll soon forget anyways. Then work on your heal/toe'ing.
Merry X-mas to you both.

How long did the install take? Did you have to leave your car overnight? Waiting for the driving impressions!

I did have to leave my car there overnight. So I'd say count on it taking 2 days. I think he was able to get it done in one but wanted to do some final tweaking the following day after the coilovers had a chance to settle a bit.

hi daryl,
yep! notice some slight chatter, but it seems to be going away a little bit. maybe there is a break in period. or, maybe i'm just used to it. either way, the little bit of sound that it makes is totally worth it! we are glad we made the choice to get it. now i want one in my car! lol!

merry christmas to you as well! and thanks for riding down to maxrpm w/ me! it was fun having you to visit!
