HONESTLY, The Euro engines aren't really worth the money. They have a cool factor to them, but the S52 is a stout and reliable engine.

If I go all out NA Beast and hit the peak of what my car can do before REALLY spending some money, The most I'll see is 270whp and that's with a conservative guess of at least 4,000 dollars (If I go with the VAC head...which I want), which isn't too bad considering I'm talking to you porsche guys who would probably kill for +70 reliable rwhp for $4,000 excluding headers ($1200) and a track pipe (700).

NA sounds a lot better to me. I drive around 25k miles a year and I like the whole "reliability" thing.

I sort of see it as being blasphemous by throwing FI on a BMW (335's and 2002 Tii's excluded). Not to mention the power isn't completely usable unless i have the rubber to back it up (I can only fit 265's in the rear or 275's if I push it which would require me to source new wheels). But damn near doubling the rwhp for slightly more out of my wallet is still lingering in the back of my head.

Have you driven a E36 with the Euro motor? Trust me, it's worth it! But it has a totally different power band, & can feel slower, especially in stop & go driving.

So far, I'm finding HP for the 993, is cheaper then my E30 M3 maybe except for the $1000 993 chip.

You can get more then 270whp from it, but it will start to cost you. Also at that time, little gains can cost much $$.

YES, I would KILL for 70more WHP from the 993, then it would on par with my other cars!

I've ridden in a m roadster with a euro 3.2 in it, 6speed and 4:10 gears =P

It's cool, but its not as reliable and most mechanics around here don't know what to do with them sadly.

Not to mention they're expensive as all hell and aren't as much of a bang for your buck.

I've also driven an E46 M3 a few times now. Cool cars, but the low end on my car KILLS.

Speaking of low end, might be swapping out my 3.23 diff for a 3.73...It's time to start pricing a 6 speed

Traction and Tires are arbitrary when you only pay $115 per tire

The sad thing is, I'll still get better mileage than Matt! =)

Have you considered nitrous?

Mick (Formulaemulation) has a pretty stout E36 ///M3 with a nitrous setup that is puttin down pretty good power with basic bolt ons.

Yeah and why don't you put a fartcan exhaust on your camaro

I'm a big fan of doing things right. NOS is a cheap thrill and nothing else. He's going to pop his engine soon enough. But who cares, his parents will foot the bill to fix it. So I'm stuck with footing my own bill and doing it right.

You can't help on Saturday, you're going to be tearing up the autocross course in my car. I got my camera mount installed tonight so we can laugh at our driving abilities after we are done.
