That seems so random for this thread....

But - Barking Frog in Woodinville next to the Herb Farm.
Or Pomegranite Bistro in Redmond.

Wingdome makes a damn good Kobe burger too, their firehouse burger rocks.

Jak's Grill you mean..there's one in the University Village area and West Seattle. Great steaks but very noisy environment so hardly romantic.

I think Jak's has been out of West Seattle for a couple of years. Yes Jody there is one in Issaquah as well. The U Village one is huge. Issaquah better but loud like Jason says. West Seattle was the best when open

Who wants Kobe? Why? It's twice as much for no different taste. "EL GOUGO has it on the menu but sell that New Stradale to get one.

I think it's all about the preparation. Oceanaire really did it best, IMHO.

Why Kobe you're kidding? Well happy cow makes excellent steaks. These Wagyu Cattles are pampered from the day they are borned. They are raised by nutritionist and care by doctor, message therapist etc, etc. They are properly exercised, drink sake and fed with only the best. No growth hormones of any kind.
If you ever have one freshly slaughter the morning of or the day before it would make you 're typical top of the line aged Porterhouse, fillet mignon or veals taste like rubber.

So who's down for some Toro sashimi and Kobe steak freshly shipped in from Japan?

I'm definitely down for that, Vince. How do you want to do it?

No didn't get married yet. We are flying down to Phoenix to talk to my dad about engagement and wedding plans and I am flying out to Toronto end of Feb to visit her parents (btw, she is moving back home Feb 10 ). We are thinking about getting engaged this summer and having a wedding in 2009.

Speaking of El Gauchos, I was there last night in the bar (very slow night) and when I walked out there was a spotless black 997 Turbo with factory rims across the street. Anyone from here? A very nice ride.

I love the atmosphere of El Guachos. Steaks are great. However, stay away from the ribs. Absolutely horrible (I'm dumb for ordering them anyways)

Canlis has the 70s vibe going on. Whenever I walk in I feel like I'm a cast member in That 70s show. Good food and the best service you'll find (some of their waiters make more than lawyers and doctors lol).

I don't blame them for working there who could survive on a doctor or lawyer salary

I like that 70's show so Canlis over others is good they do food right.
