I wish it was that easy for a broom handle..I cna't rish damaging the fenders if they are ok...and there is not room under the hood (front) to get leverage
still can't get it open

Wow, I heard about your accident yesterday on top of Todd's too! It wasn't a good day for everyone..and even Mitchel managed to scrape his undercarriage too when someone forced him off the road. I'm just glad that it wasn't worse than it was. You handled this incident rationally and I applaud you for it. I probably would've done the same too but I don't want to find myself in a scenario like that ever again. It happened to me years ago in my MINI Cooper S up in Vancouver BC. My car was totally undriveable and I had to get it towed back to Redmond.
What's next for you, Bruce?

You handled yourself VERY well bruce. It's sad to see that and her insurance is going to be blown away with how much that's going to cost to fix.
At least he didn't try to hit and run like the guy that did this to my car. My buddy watched it happen and ran him down in his car and got his info for me. It was a fiasco getting him back to where it happened. I told him he had 10 minutes to get his *** back here or else I'm calling the police for a hit and run and that he'd most likely be arrested in front of his son (he was taking his kid to Karate practice). He was back in 5 minutes flat and I got a police report backing me up, just incase his insurance tried anything.

$5,286 in body work alone and another 2 grand in mechanic work (radiator, auxillary fan, core support, labor) in damage.

=( aww mitchel....look at your poor front end.
i think of these cars like people! lol! it's sad to see them banged up. =( you get attached to them!
waide said he's sorry to hear about todd's car, but he's also glad that it wasn't mine. after painting the calipers for me, he said "i'd shed a tear if it was your car". hehe

thanks buddy! yes it does suck...but I thought about that as she hit me. She was blown away that I wasn't yelling at her nor did I seem pissed at her and she told me I could punch her.. she felt so bad..I could understand what happened and see why. Those spare tires create a HUGE blindspot for anything..
I thought about it and in the end it can be fixed..why jump up and down and yell and scream..it won't fix anything when I could tell it was an honest mistake. Now if she was being really dumb and screwing around..I would probably be different..
the car will be fixed
no one was hurt so I am happy about that

There is pain.....here is cruelty.....and then there is just plain SIN!
Brother that impact was easily avoidable and it is a SIN that such a nice vehicular example was damaged.............(what words can't say goes here)

As far as getting into the trunk, since it's going have to be replaced, try a Sawsall or a saber saw.
