You can argue all day long about which one is the best etc..

I am sure that each manuf. can provide test data etc. saying theirs is the best blah blah blah

The SRX system (and the new imporved version) have saved me and the fully integrated BM install is very clean and unobtrusive.

I had all the SRX controls mounted in the ashtray of my car.

There are laser pro park, blinder, laser interceptor, Escort, etc etc...

I am very happy with the SRX.
The new Escort 9500Ci will soon be replacing the SRX and is said to be even better. That's what I'd suggest you check out.

It really makes no sense to have a V-1 and a 9500ci. Neither is much good against a laser. They'll only tell you to pull over and get out your license, and registration for the cop.

I'd recommend you make a choice and supplement it with the Escort SRX, which has a laser diffuser (not exactly a jammer, but nearly as effective). Either I, or Atomic would gladly show you our installation.

Larry, the 9500CI _IS_ the new newest version replacing the SRX that's currently in our cars. It also includes radar detection and laser jamming capabilities. You're probably thinking of the 9500i (without the C)

what is the difference betweena jammer and a shifter?

Can I "shift" my speed reading to Mitchel's car when I get lasered?

Escort uses the word "shifter" because the word "jammer" sounds and looks illegal to most.

Who cares I say..they're all the same. But good one..I'd want to shift detection over to Mitchel too.

Am I do for a reflash on it or has the WSP cut down on the weight of there radar signals on the pass reader boards and other crap?

Thanks,
Ryan
Part of the problem that you don't get an alarm around the WSP is they use "Instant On" radar now, or Laser. You'll still get alarms at store/office doors and the highway informational signs (reader boards). Smaller police departments who don't have "Instant On" will give out alarms if they have their unit turned on. Also be aware there are radar units that can pick you up coming or going.

As another poster said you can check for updates with the manufacturer.

I'm picking one of these up with a V1 and Laser Pro Park one of these days.

Laser Jamming? Check
Radar Detection? Check
Beartracker (picks cops up by their radio use)? Check.

I had one of those Beartrackers before but of course to a deaf guy like me it was pretty much useless. You'll have to let me know how yours works out for you.

Jason is the one who convinced me to go with both these systems - I have the V1 and a deposit for the order of the 9500ci due in anyday. I get my installs done while I am in Birmingham the first week of May. Perhaps Jason or you can post pictures - there was a request in an earlier post and I plan to install mine the same as Jason's (not sure if you have both Larry?)

Cool thing about the BCT8 is that it will fit perfectly in my sunglass tray. Then I just need to let the pocket punajb wire it up to run off of accessory and somehow get it to interupt my stereo when it gets hits on the WSP frequency.
