Valentine 1 in the Northwest Question

Hey guys I just got back from a road from Seattle to Spokane and I was wandering if there have been any major updates to the radar and different areas the use to set off my detector. Having been out of the state for about 3 years its possible that they have removed much of the items that caused false alarms but I saw plenty of WSP that never set it off.

Am I do for a reflash on it or has the WSP cut down on the weight of there radar signals on the pass reader boards and other crap?

Thanks,
Ryan

The only explanation that I can come up with is.... LASER

My v1 will give me laser notification when I am being targeted... but laser notification is synonomous with ticket notification...

might want to consider investing in a jammer...

I am having the V-1 installed and the new Escort 9500ci in a few weeks. The new escort system uses GPS and will detect false alarms and will remember that so it doesn't go off the next time you pass it - pretty cool huh! Laser and radar detection are must haves.

Do you run a jammer? Any good info on what to get?

So you're going to have the v1 and the escort in your car? Where are you mounting them.

Did a trip to Montana on I-90 during Xmas time and the V1 went off (false alarms) in the places it normally does.
Better go to the local Safeway and make sure the doors set it off like they should (unless you've chosen the option/setting to disable X-Band completely????)

I drive Gig Harbor to Portland almost every weekend and my V1 has saved me several times. I agree with PJ that the laser has gone off several times, but i still have seen the other modes out there as well. Anyone know who makes the best laser jammer?

You'll find conflicting reports on who makes the best. I personally have the Escort SRX but they're coming out with a newer version, the 9500CI soon and then there's Laser Park Pro based out of Vancouver BC that's also very good. I'd say that it'd be those two that are the best ones on the market right now.

Love your new South Park character, Todd!

YMMV means "your mileage may vary". Don't worry..I had to look that one up too!

I also have the SRX as does Daryl...

Installed at Benchmark

You can argue all day long about which one is the best etc..

I am sure that each manuf. can provide test data etc. saying theirs is the best blah blah blah

The SRX system (and the new imporved version) have saved me and the fully integrated BM install is very clean and unobtrusive.

I had all the SRX controls mounted in the ashtray of my car.

There are laser pro park, blinder, laser interceptor, Escort, etc etc...

I am very happy with the SRX.
