HAHA It is always funny to see what other peoples pet peeves are. Some of them are so off the wall sometimes. with respect to the other ones it is nice to know other people have the same pet peeves too and it is not just me going crazy...

+1 on the gravel trucks. Esp. when they have just dumped their load and it is still resting on the back lip on the truck. Every time they hit a bump it is raining gravel.

Another dump truck pet peeve:
What I think is really funny are the signs they put on the back of the trucks now that say "Not responsible for objects coming from road" -what a load of BS!!

 

That's based on a court case and state law. Too many people were blaming the truck companies for windshield damage that was not caused by them. It had gotten so bad a friend took his company phone number off of all his trucks. I guess the best advice is don't follow trucks, especially dump trucks, too close.

 

The Ferrari blinkers are (a) very quiet in the cabin + loud engine noise == zero chance of them being heard, and (b) not very good at turning off when slight turn completed.

A + B == recipe for embarrassment (The "look at that dork in a Ferrari" factor).


My peeves are the fog-lights too, and people who drive with ill-adjusted headlights. You give a quick blip of the high-beams, and get a "OH, YOU WANT TO SEE HOW OBNOXIOUS MY HEADLIGHTS CAN BE" response, and get the high-beams for as long as they're coming toward you. They probably watch NASCAR, wear a mullet, and listen to Journey way past the sell-by date.

Drivers here are the absolute worst. They'd be skinned alive if they tried to drive that way in London....

 

I agree with all the peeves and have some to add...

driving down a road that has a left turn lane... PEOPLE THAT GET ON THE BRAKES BEFORE THEY GET INTO THE TURN LANE!!!!!!

simple you idiots --
blinker on
change lanes to the turn lane
THEN BRAKE if needed

Not
no blinker on
slowing down for no apparent reason
then change lanes into the turning lane -- ususally late so your rear end is still in my lane

I also do not like people that double park and block a "moving lane" of traffic... ususally cab drivers or some other rude version of an idiot driver whose passenger has run in to get something and they are waiting as opposed to driving around the block..

Also do you get the sense that cab drivers and bus drivers feel like they own the road? Bus drivers certainly have the "I am bigger" thing going for them but for the most part... they merge like crap, they pull into their stops in a way that leaves their *** out in the road so that when their passengers get on, they have been blocking traffic so they do not have to merge...

Cab drivers -- I do not go out of my way to make life hard on them... but becasue they are such rude MFing drivers, I never cut them a break. No signals, driving slow trolling for fares, random u-turns from far right lane...

Most of my peeves have to do with rudeness... your double parking, illegal u turning in front of me, dropping rocks all over the highway, no signal random braking... it all comes down to this... it is GD rude. Have some manners you idiots and it will make living in this world with your kind much more tolerable

I Hate it when people go from 60 to 0 at the expense of the rear of my car just to see what it is. I also get quite annoyed by people that constantly rev trying to get attention from me. And most of all I hate people that park 2 inches away from my door eventhough they have about 1900 yards of free space on the opposite side of their parking spot.

As an addition to what PJ has said, I also hate those who don't know how to merge into their lanes properly such as when getting onto the freeway or off the freeway. Often times I'd encounter those who stop at the end of the cloverdale ramp when you're supposed to keep moving and merge in the next lane over. Really irritates the heck outta me when people do that.

 

I agree, runess while driving is the worst. For example:

People who use the merging parts of the carpool lane on 520 to advance a few spots and merge back into the right lane!

Also when there's a lot of traffic for an exit and people just put the blinker right before the exit and the morons stuck in traffic just let them merge!

Another pet peeve: Sensor lights, at night you get a green, and by the time you reach the next intersection it's red because there was someone on the perpendicular street. Or even worse, you're stuck behind some dufus who is not close enough to the sensor so you have to wait 2-3 light cycles before they realize they have to pull up.

 

I must be livin' right. I just checked mine and all four are pointed at the valve stem. Maybe the caps are keyed so they won't go on any other way

 

I must not be living right. I just took a peek at two in my garage and they don't even have a Porsche Crest.

Which way are the RS and Turbo S supposed to point?
