Tour de Bumbphuque

This will be a 5 day tour around the Northwest. Starting in Bellevue it will visit such places as Astoria, Pittsburg, Beaverton, The Dalles, Condon, Baker City, La Grande and Pendleton, Oregon (not necessarily in that order). Cambridge, Dry Gulch, Grangeville and Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. Asotin, Bickleton and Goldendale, Washington.

Less than 2000 miles total. The longest day is 425 miles, the shortest 355. All roads are paved, but none are very straight.

The expected departure date is August 23.

If you're interested, PM me with your E-mail address. (This trip is not recommended for Ferraris.)

For those of you that are on the fence, jump! Larry has planned some incredible trips in the past before. I always enjoy going on trips that he plans.

For now, I'm in!

^^^ Larry, you are too much. That reminds me of a meeting I had recently and the guys name was "Phuc Dang". Needless to say, I pronounced it incorrectly and had a terrible time keeping my composure (he didn't think it was so funny).

Anyway, wish I could go on this trip but won't be able to take the days off work then. I am off next week though - can't wait.

I hit some of those today! I went Bellevue to Portland to Seaside and then north on 101 and through a lot of the side roads along the way. Got a ticket on I8 in WA, which will bring me back to Aberdeen =/, but 101 just north of the OR/WA border was a lot of fun, great curves and nice little straightaways.

You may have missed SR - 4 from Naselle to Longview. Great road with no LEO's. Triple digit possibilities.

I was on 101, I turned left just as it reached 4. That part of the road just before it reached 4 was fantastic, lots of nice turns, plenty of visibility, great scenery.

Here's the area I took. I can see how if I had of stayed straight on 4 it would have been even more fun.

The route instructions are now complete. The dates have been revised to August 25 through August 28. Overnights are Pendleton, OR, Baker City, OR and Walla Walla, WA.

The route goes from Bellevue to Yakima, Goldendale, Bickleton, Patterson, Umatilla, Holdman, Pendleton, Heppner, Condon, Fossil, Spray, Kimberly, Monument, Long Creek, John Day, Austin, Baker City, Halfway, Joseph, Anatone, Asotin, Clarkston, Pomeroy, Dayton, Walla Walla, Waitsburg, Prescott, Starbuck, Kahlotus, Connell, Pasco, Moxee, Naches, Cliffdell, Enumclaw, Black Diamond, Renton, and back to Bellevue.

Still time make motel reservations and join us in what should be an interesting drive through some beautiful country on some very twisty roads.

For those of you who have already expressed an interest in going, a set of instructions has been sent to you today.

Larry
