It looks like the fender got tweaked from hitting the tire.
Here I thought my M3 was slammed, I'm a 4x4 in comparison.

I love how the rims on the VW protrude out so that the tires don't get curb damage.

I know her too. The VW/Audi crowd is pretty big here, but you end up meeting everyone from time to time.

I had rubber bands on my CTS like this. I got tired of replacing rubber to the tune of a tire every couple of months. Especially after the snow storm the streets around Seattle just got destroyed.

^^ I'm confused why you would be replacing tires every few months? I had 275/30/20 on my G35 and they lasted 30k miles no problem.
