Hit and run
Hit and run
So I went with my friends to hang out at the beach. They are leaving end of the week to go to college and ****. So after we left the beach, they needed to grab some ice from the store, they were having a BBQ. So I parked in the very back in the spot I always park in. Been parking there for almost 2 years now, no issues. When I came out, we were leaving, my friend calls me and tells me I have some white scratches on the front fender/bumper. I pull in to a gas station and check the damage, the front fender is pushed in, the front bumper sticks out and the headlight has some scratches too. I've been driving since I was 15, never do I speed or do anything stupid to put myself into this kind of situation. I called the 5-0 and they said it isnt worth it to come out and make a report because no one saw it. So they didnt bother coming out.

TSX?
Well, report to insurance - you'll pay the deductible but rates shouldn't go up. Sorry to hear.

I used to be that way and park way out where no one else was parked. Not any more. It's just a car and can be fixed. I'll typically grab the first spot I can find now. If there are a few open spots next to each other, I'll park there, but I don't make it a habit of parking way out near the end anymore.
It still sucks that it happened to you though. Sad part is the police will not do anything about it. I would have made them come out and file a report anyway. Might have helped with the insurance........

If you have full coverage your insurance will cover it.
The police won't come out because there is NOTHING that they can do from this. It will take up thier time and take them away from something else that "could" be more worth while. Don't be upset...what do you expect them to do? tell you it is damaged and get it fixed?
Call your insurance and tell them the situation. It is covered under your COMP section of your policy.
