Want to go to Skip Barber?
Hey everyone,
I have talked to a few of you about what school I am going to head off to next. We'll I have decided that I am going to go to Skip Barber.
Right now it looks like I will do the 3-day school and the 2-day advanced school down in Florida this spring.
Would anyone be interested in going with me? Of course you don't need to do both.
I'm looking at flying down on the 26th of March and coming back on the 1st of April. I'm looking for something to do on the Monday that I have off between the schools. That will be Spring Break time in Florida.
I might be able to deliver on the cars with pretty girls attached to them that PJ keeps asking for!!

PJ, let's go!!!

You really are planning things WAY ahead of time? Spring of 2009? Wow!
Larry and I are heading to the Porsche 3 day driving school in a few weeks! Larry also went to Skip Barber at Laguna Seca last summer and had a blast. I didn't go because they won't/can't provide interpreters for me (I'm deaf for those of you that didn't know). In contrast, Porsche and BMW have always been good about providing interpreters for me.
Well anyone is welcome. Here are the rough costs.
$3,399 3-day school
3,199 2-day school
200 6-days car rental
600 6-nights hotel
400 Southwest Plane tickets
7,798 Sub-Total
-640 Discount (20% off on the 3,199 advanced for doing both)
$7,158 Total
These are rough as I'm not sure yet if all of the various fees and taxes are captured.

I almost spit out my drink through my nose when I read that part. Thanks for the laughs, Larry.
i agree why florida. florida sucks. laguna seca is disneyland for adults. driving there would be perfect and it's 2 hours by plane and about an hour drive instead of 5 hours plane plus drive plus 3 hours difference in time zones plus florida bad food plus 6 hours home and Laguna is in Monterey/Carmel. The best place in California
Sounds like fun but I am planning on going back to Birmingham to the advance Porsche Driving school in the spring - and have a deposit for a trip to Europe next September with a motocade of 30+ Porsche's thru 5 countries + the RING for three days!
