Cool Drives.
Yeah I have to agree with everyone here as well. I've been driving since I was 15. Korea is a little different than the US, but having my liscense for almost 10years I still feel like a newb and am quick to be humbled by people on this forum. I remember going out to the 6speed photoshoot and getting into some curves with a few people and I was getting left behind.
I have a well handling car with decent power but the "pride" factor should be left at home. I have not yet been to an autox event nor have I had tracking classes. So I'm perfectly fine coming in last long as I am 1. Having fun 2. Within my limits and 3. Safe. No matter what you do in life you have to always keep a bit of fear with you. If you don't then you're setting yourself up for overconfidence and we all know that can lead down a disastrous road.
With all that said I know of people that play games like gran turismo with decked out chairs and steering wheels. It won't prepare you for real life situations but you can at least get some safe, fun, insurance claim free experience.

One more thing. Take advice with a open mind. Everyone on here has a different personality and equally different means of giving advice. Don't get upset and post about it. If you get upset step away from the keyboard.
I say this because when I was 15 there weren't too many dream cars where I was living. Hell we thought the new dodge neon was a nice car and would customize them online after basketball practice. It wouldve been heaven for me if I was able to be around porsches, ferraris, lambos, bmws, aston martin, amg's and of course I can't forget about lotuses/loti. So try not to burn bridges. Enjoy the environment and crowd you are exposed to here. Look at what you have the opportunity around and the people you have the chance to interact with. Being on this forum and meeting the people I have has changed my opinion on a lot of things from personal finance all the way to which shoe is left and which shoe is right (mark).
That's all I got. I know you rather be with this group than a group of 2000 neons like I was haha.

sorry for the slight thread jack here....but, rb...i've always wondered what you call a gaggle of lotuses. let alone, how to spell it! lol! Loti....that's cute!
No one knows the universally correct term. Many lives have been lost in the pursuit of the plural term for lotus.

Hummm3 is normally the Father figure here because he tends to be the voice of reason so many times over most but I will give a little advice because the bicycle around that corner might be me.
Father figure? I guess that comes with being an old fart. Thanks Mark for making me feel my age on a typical crappy Seattle day. That bicycle around the corner used to be me, but I gave it up when more and more people started testing the cornering abilities in their fast cars (and I'm one of those to) on roads like High Bridge Rd., Ben Howard Rd., Tokul Creek Rd or Chuckanut Dr. Two of my friends were killed on bikes by cars. One wasn't even on the road. He was riding on a dedicated bike path when a kid running from the cops left the road out of control and hit him.

Thats awful, Thanks for the support guys. Yeah I am going to look into track working.
I think we should call them loti. I like it.
I call more than one mongoose, mongi.

Glad your open minded dude. It's a good trait and, personally, I wish I had more of it. It counters the simple mans' constant search, and unwitting discovery of, the Manichean Trap.
Cheers,

This is the most polite ownage I have ever seen.
Thanks for all the great advice in this thread for S7RR.
And S7RR, thanks for listening. On public roads, safety of others and yourself should take presedence over driving excitement. You'll understand more when you get older, in the meantime, just sit back and enjoy the ride safely.

Nate we were all 15 going on 16 once ( some a LOOONGGG time ago ). We all have done stuff we care to forget. All the comments about safety are for everyones good. But we all like to pass on good info to those who listen. Take it slow and steady Young Skywalker..
