Cool Drives.
Cool Drives.
Well, I want to find some of the coolest drives on the area, you know the views, the roads, all that. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Chuckanut Drive, Which is rather short... Can you guys think of some more cool ones?
Thanks in advance,

If you are just looking for a really good road to let your car do what it is capable of and have fun, I like to head up to Snoqualmie Falls Lodge and right across the street you head up a small hill to a really great windy road. You can only take two runs or there is a guy that will call the cops. Not sure how the road conditions are right now though with all the snow. Really beautiful country out there though.
But cops will give you a ticket for jag to dismiss, all a man with a broom can do is a light bruise...
I will try to get in contact with a lotus buddy of mine. He used his GPS to find some nice roads in the mountains somewhere in snohomish county. We were up there for a couple of hours. My tires were pretty bad at the time and I was the only novice in the group and I was still hitting 65 thru the most curves and 120 on straights. If you have any track time I am sure you would be doing a lot better than I was haha.
PS. No cops out there it was essentially farm land. We had to slow down a couple times because there was a Bike Race going on.. Random...

^^^ I got lots of fun roads in the area on the list
Although I tend to do them at night and rarely run into police cars. High-Bridge road is a good one lots of twisties, elevation changes a negative g turn that will make your passengers cringe.
Another one is a little hidden away in Issaqhaha (can never spell the name of the city right) but it's on Fall city road. Mainly a 2nd-3rd gear run hope you know how to heal toe to carry good speed on this one. But be very careful road is narrow and well your options are either a 10foot ditch or a tree if you run out of talent and are stupid.
Epic drives would be the North Cascade Loop Drive 500 miles of amazing roads with little traffic. Not something you can do at this time but I'll plan one come summer. If your insane it can be done in one day. For not so crazy people it's better to be done in two days.
Sprial Highway is also an amazing bit of road worth the road trip out to get to it. But it's in the middle of no where.

Oh and its Issaquah.
my suggestion would be that before you go on any drives, you may want to enroll in a driving school or courses. PCA as well as other organized car clubs offer many driver's skills day's and driver's education days. they are not only fun, but very good for every day driving as well.
i would also recommend autox if you are able to attend. once again, you can help improve your driving skills as well as having fun. driving skills help you for your personal driving and they help with defensive driving on the public roads as well.
you learn, you develope skill, and you have a great time. if you look at the majority of the nw 6speeders that are skilled drivers, most all of them have attended some sort or several driving courses. even to this day they continue to go and improve on their skills.

So today I started at the May Valley Road and went to 900 and when north in to issaquah then up on Issaquah-Fall City Rd. (Which would be a lot of fun with out my ever scared mother onboard.) then hit up 203 East through the Falls and Greta I looked for your road was it Tokul Rd. to 53rd then to 396th? Its a loop Right? Then we went into northbend shopped (the best reason to drag mom out of the house.) And headed back home, just in time for lunch.
Just another question, How well does the Valentine 1 work?

Glad you found the fall city road fun isn't it
Get yourself into some autox first then work yourself up to road course days. Autox teaches very well what to do when stupid happens and fine edge control. It fails to teach you how to be smooth or high speed inputs. That's a good track day. Just be warned once you've logged your first 100miles in a track day you will never autox ever again.
IRDC is going to do a track day in march at Pacific who's coming? I still need to find a rental car anyone have ideas???

Man I am driving her car, To my surprise that hold in the corners better than I expected. I need to get my license... May 18th... Can't come faster...
You are only 15? I take back what I said - bite my tongue. You need to drive safe and be smart, I am serious. If you want to really do some cornering and fast driving, go to Pacific Raceway and take the Performance Driving School for teens. You will learn from Don Kitch who is a professional driver/instructor and will have a terrific time. You can go back and other classes or lapping days in your car or theirs.
