New!!--Exotics At Redmond Town Center
Thanks Paul. Yea, the ONLY car I waved off today was the Ford 450 super cab from the City of Redmond Parks Department. It was white however and that guy wasn't too happy even though we were all very nice to him. He was pissed because his truck wasn't considered an exotic either.
Kuzi everyone knows a car has to be red to be exotic

"Tropic Thunder" is worth renting on the value of the "you people"-scene alone.
Also apropos of this conversation since that scene is all about people's preconceptions causing misunderstandings and offense.
Mark; I guarantee that you and Tommy would get on like a house on fire. Humor and sarcasm here in these threads can (and often are) misinterpreted and an attitude is assumed where none exists. Tommy and Vic are great down-to-earth guys with a passion for cars, just the same as you and I. There was absolutely no elitism, snobbery or bad attitudes on display by *any* of the participants today, everyone had a great time and I'm happy to have taken part at the inaugural event.
EVERYONE: Hold your judgement and assumptions until AFTER you've attended one of the meets; then decide.

2 gallons of White is what that took. So Tommy I need none there
Speaking of bumblebee, word on the street is that you have a new bumblebee -- pics to share with the class for show'n'tell ?
on top my ars. it would fit inside. yep no "bumblebee" sorry Kuz you're stuck with the Range Rover ( it's english )
Guys after reading the last six pages I can't stop laughing/smiling. Part of that is William's fault, and I would like to proclaim here that he is The Man. The rest of it is the banter back and forth that I didn't expect.
First off I'd like to thank the Vic, Tom, and everyone else who put effort into this one. It was a great time, and even my Audi felt welcome.
The 35 spaces in the first lot could have been two thirds Ferrari, a third Lamborghini and there would still have been spill over Italians... I honestly didn't think we'd get that turn out at a car meet Valentines Day weekend in Feb when it's cold and we did. When you see the layout first hand, it's easy to see why people trying to organize this GTG wanted clarity. It's not like there is a whole lot of room, and as this grows it will become even more crowded. It's nice to have similar makes and models together (just like any other car show). I'm glad that a couple of Scuds were parked side by side. In the future I will drag some of the NWQuattro guys out to this event and perhaps a little pack of Audis will congregate together for pics. It was a great show that brought out some amazing machines and I hope everyone felt as welcome as I did.
Mark, as soon as that bracelet is off I hope to see you up in the Mini, even though I know you hate the Eastside.
Greta, I will see you there next week.
Bruce, I'm glad you brought Anthony and I'm excited to see his R8 at the next one (if he still has it). If Vincent can make it there will be twins.
Pics of mine will be up in a minute.

Honestly, Tom and I thought that we wouldn't even fill half the spaces in that corner of the parking lot during this first event. Wow, were we ever off the mark? However, we have plenty of room to grow the event, and I'm sure we'll figure out a nice solution for everyone.
This coming weekend Feb 21 is looking promising for another meet.

.............however its got a stinger like you wouldn't beleive.
Wow....I left earlier today and came back and there's already been a few pages added. And most of it was even redundant. I honestly think that it got a little bit out of hand. I would be lying if I said I thought I would be turned away with my little blue car when I first arrived. But when I saw Tom, he happily welcomed me. Hell, there was a red S2000 parked in the lot along with a few other non exotics which I'm guessing was there already before everyone arrived.
Honestly, after all the controversy earlier I was dead set on going to the meet at Southcenter but a few folks asked me specifically to come out to the RTC meet instead to take pictures. I'm glad I did.
It's ironic because originally when the meet was at EOM, nobody complained because the criterias were not even "defined" at the time but it was only when the venue was moved over to RTC and some semblance of a "criteria" began to come into the picture, that's when all hell broke loose. I think that nobody should feel "shut out" simply because of what was said in this thread. The bottom line here IMHO is that we're all car enthusiasts, right? We all share the common trait of having a love for cars even a Ford Super Duty too. I know I wouldn't have turned him away!
Oh, as a means of helping pass the peacemaker wand along, here's a picture I took of Kuzi's "Bumblebee." Now the question is whether it's exotic enough.
