The 993TT is for sale

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...rix-white.html

It's time to say goodbye to my 993. As much as I love my car, I just do not drive it enough to justify keeping it. I have only put 8000 miles on it in the 20 months of owning it. And that includes 2 ice cream runs

If anyone is interested, let me know. I am looking at trading it in soon, so get it while it's hot.

Not getting anything super. Been looking at the Audi A5 or a BMW 645. I need more of a dad car. This car just sits too much for me.

I hear you. I keep eying an elise, or another 2 seater as a next car, but will probably end up with something different. It'd be nice to have the room for the kids when I want to take them somewhere in my car.....

best wishes to you david. you know that it has always been one of my favorites. i sure wish i was in a position to buy it, but i need to get a bigger place first and sell my beloved boxster.

you're a great dad and i can totally understand why you are selling it. i'm sure you'll still come and play with us in your new ride though. =)

I'll still be around and come out to events. I'm just taking a little break from sports cars. My wife and I have been fortunate enough to not be impacting by the economy (yet), but it has made us look at things and try to cut out some extras. You never know what the future holds. I still plan on having a nice car, but one that is more pratical for everyday use. Both the 993 and my Subaru will be replaced with one car that can serve double duty.

Once the kids are older, I will get another weekend driver. Until then, a nice Audi or BMW coupe will do just fine.

I can vouch for how fabulous this car is. Having driven it, I can say that it is truely in superb condition and has been maintained by a meticulous person.

Best of luck David.

I actually let you drive it? What was I thinking?

Thanks for the kind word.

I actually saw it for sale on Craigslist today, and forwarded it to a buddy of mine possibly in the market.

Please let him know that I am eager to sell and willing to make him a good deal. I would like to avoid having to put it back to stock and trade it in. Would be a shame to waste all the extras.

Also, if anyone needs to do a trade, I have a few places that are willing to consign it that will accept trades. They will also give me the tax credit if I buy from them, so that can make me aggressive on my price. Having a $5k+ tax credit makes a huge difference in my pricing.

I love this car. Sure you don't want a daily driveable p-car? We could just swap!

GL with the sale - someone is going to get a killer 993TT.

Funny thing is, my wife wants a 997. I told her I wanted something different. Isn't it usually the husband that wants the sports car?
