I'm looking for a set of 996tt rims. Anyone know any good place in Seattle sells good rims? I was looking at the Maya DLS and really liked them. Any place sells them in Seattle? Thanks.

 

Unless you're down with Les Schwab, seems like most places in Seattle will need to order from Cali to get quality rims (few weeks to deliver). Seattle rim places seem to never have anything in stock IMHO...

 

Ditto husky's comments. At least not for the 996tt at least. There are quite a few very reputable wheel sponsors on the board. You could probably get a great deal through one of them....

try a local guy, jim fikse.

they have a lot to offer and if you don't like it, they'll literally CnC something that you do like. don't go for something too light or too thin when you are going to be driving the car on the street, that's the only advice.

Wouldn't it be nice to see 50" chrome wheels on a 911. But I don't think so. Fikse are well known for being super conservative on their wheel designs which they haven't change since the getgo.

sure, enough money will probably get them to do something custom... but in large part my experience with them has been as you described... conservative.

nothing wrong with that... but I do not think they will build you something "custom" if you do not like thier current offereings...

Try Fordahl Motorsports, they sell Fikses. I personally don't think ANY wheel looks better on a Porsche than a Fikse.... That is why I have owned several sets.
