19 hrs? Must be 18 hrs for reading instructions and 1 hr for installing. Get a Valentine 1 or get a lawyer for $250/ticket. J/K

It's a very involved process. I think they charge $85 an hour now.

It's a tragic story, really. I cringed when I first heard it.

Some people THINK they can though... I didn't think cheap and quality could be used in the same sentence.

Interesting. I had contacted them a while back to get an AVIC-D3 with it's Bluetooth adapter and iPod cable installed in my Boxster. I had picked it up at a steal through a friend (authorized dealer too) but since it was not purchased from Benchmark they refused to install it. I can understand them not being able to warranty items not purchased from them but I was still thinking they'd do the install. It's still not installed as I haven't taken the time to look for another shop that I'd trust doing the install. And since the Boxster is up for sale now I guess I should sell the AVIC-D3 and the parts as well.

most likely that was a sales ploy at a time that they couldn't keep up with installs. i always know when it's quiet at Benchmark because Hugo my sales guy calls to see what he can add to what car. When busy I rarely here from him.

don't install that fancy bluetooth.. Buy a Jawbone. Best by far headset one can buy. You can hear it in any of my cars and all of my truck drivers actually have them.

Sendero I bet they'd install it now

I think they're charging about $65/hour, I'm pretty sure that's what I paid recently. And I'm taking the Jeep in tomorrow for more. I can confirm.
Interesting about the equipment, they installed some of the stuff I pulled from my Caddy.
