Escort 9500ci Installer - Shop Recommendations Needed

Looking for a reputable shop in Seattle or on the Eastside to install my Escort 9500ci kit. Looking for top quality work and a fair labor rate.

Has anyone had the same system installed on their car?

The other option is tackling the job myself with a second set of hands. If you've are 12V-junky and want to lend a hand, I'll host.

Thanks!

Advanced Sound and Tint up in Lynnwood does this all the time, their installation is top quality. Their number is (425)672-8866. Talk to Khai.

+1 for Benchmark. See Derek. They installed the 9500ci and a V-1 on my car and did a super job. Would not take my car anywhere else. (Tell Derek I referred you!)

Another one from me for Benchmark as well. They're also an official Escort retailer meaning they'd cover you if there are warranty issues. I think that'd be important.

I see a trend here.

Benchmark it is! Being an authorized Escort Installer is a big deal, plus they are on the Eastside.

Anyone got install photos? One day install?

Ok, here's a few pictures. I should point out that I originally had the Escort SRX but then I upgraded it to the 9500Ci which would explain why the control unit looks different now.

LED lights up above in the map light. It changes to red when going off

Front laser diffuser on passenger side. There's also one on driver's side and rear license plate

Rear diffser unit

Kill switch underneath console

My control unit which I wanted visible used to be placed here

But now it looks like this, completely OEM in appearance

Very happy with it.

Benchmark did the DVD set up in my Q7 and laser/radar on my R8, so +1. However, you may want to have a back up plan since you already own the equipment. The salesman won't be able to make as much profit on the install, so they may decline. Call me crazy, but this has happened to me twice with Benchmark on equipment I already bought but just wanted installed.

I have experience with that as well. I brought my own equipment to them once and they did agree to install but could not promise to "warranty" the installation. If anything were to happen to the components for instance, I'd have to pay them to uninstall the component, then send it out to get repaired by the manufacturer, and then finally pay them again to reinstall the component. Hardly convenient IMHO, so I ended up returning the equipment and just buying it from them. They'd guarantee everything that way. That's usually how it goes with most shops I believe.

Thumbs up

Spoke to Justin (he answered the phone) and I've got an appointment set for the morning of the 10th, picking it back up on the 11th!

I did get a comment regarding the product "not being purchased from them", but mentioning the recommendations from 6speedonline generated the "but we'll take care of you" response.

Thanks for all your help guys/gals.

Haha Jason, I like the picture of your blurred out license plate. Like there is anyone on this board who doesn't know what it says
