I like me some Panamera

At the risk of offending the P-car purists, I have to say I am digging the new Panamera. I am not a 4-dr GT guy at all but this car is looking sweet, despite the controversial styling. For the purpose it serves, I think Porsche hit the nail on the head: a luxury performance GT sedan with Porsche DNA. I wasn't happy about the Cayenne but I think the Panamera will solidify Porsche's standing in the automotive world as a premier brand.

Turbo will reach 0-60 in 4 seconds, the 4S in less than 5, all the while hauling 4 peeps and their luggage. Insane! If I ever start a family, I am getting me one of these badboys. I don't even care that it will only be available with the PDK tranny. By the time I buy one, I won't want to be rowing my own gears anyway, especially with a cruiser like this. I think this is the perfect complement to any car enthusiasts' stable as a daily driver. Can't wait to see it in person. I suspect it will have tremendous road presence.

Motortrend 1st Drive review here: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...iew/index.html

"Porsche's iconic 911 has been both a blessing and a curse, defining the company's unconventional sporting spirit while at the same time threatening to trap it in a timewarp. Porsche has dreamed of building a sporting four door for decades, but somehow the 911 always seemed to get in the way. Until now. The good news is, the Panamera has been worth the wait."

It's starting to grow on me. It's going to take me some more time to love that rear end though.

6-10 more beers in less than 2 hours -- that rear end will be looking nice

I have yet to see the 4 door P-car in person... I will reserve judgement until then

If you are looking for a great car look at the Ferrari 612, its quite the 4 passenger GT.

LOL 6-10 beers!! She looks better at 2 am?

I think Porsche has taken a beautiful classic 911 design and and have done the wrong thing by stretching it around a Ford Taurus station wagon chassis.

I hope they sell a million of them.... You wont see me in line though - if it has 4 doors, it better be able to carry bikes, skiis, kids and dogs along with home repair supplies furniture and be big enough to sleep in / or change clothes in

My other car is a land yacht suburban - its getting harder and harder to drive it... but for the camping/hiking/skiing/ ect when I take 4 to 6 kids and the wife and the gear... its wonderful!

we have a 4 door car, but I dont drive it except to get gas sometimess for my wife.

It does nothing for me. Shape and lines seem to be out of proportion to me.

I don't know how I feel about it. But it has really nice stats! It also does 26mpg! To me, that's impressive.

Really, if I wanted a people mover, the M5 is my 1st choice.

I think it's pretty cool. You just need to upgrade the turbos, reflash the ecu, change the injectors, and you'll probably have a 800+ horsepower family sedan. Perfect car for the Gumball with 3 of your best friends.
