Coming to the area..
Whats up everyone,
I'll be moving into the Tacoma/Seattle/Olympia area soon. Fort Lewis to be exact and wanted to give my introduction before the move over to the NW area.
I'm from NY so I've visited that area a bit and the main 996 Turbo Forum. Currently driving a Basalt Black 2001 Turbo. Mods aren't complete as of yet but will most likely be by the time I get to Lewis.
For the most part, I've been with EPL but will need another respectable shop when I make the move in case anything should happen with the car so any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
Hope to get to some of the meets and in the area and meet some of you.

You might want to to try Rolf's in Lakewood. They specialize n German cars and I think they are factory authorised. Used them for work on my SLK and they were great. Much better the the Dealer Larson who I think owns the Porsche dealership down south too. I have bought several cars from the Larson Stores and can honestly say there service blows!!!!!
Good luck.
Good luck.
Welcome buddy. There are quite a few shops around the area. Nearby to you is MaxRPM in Bremerton.. I've worked with Alex and hes a good guy and knows his porsches. There is also Kevin at UMW (Ultimate Motor Werks) in Monroe.. the guy is known across the nation and knows his stuff more than most. Hes a member here, I'm sure you heard of him. For maintenance, I have used Colin Cantrell @ Cantrell Motorsports up in Totem Lake. There are shops all around to take care of you... Welcome to Seattle..
Welcome to the NW! I miss NY! Haven't been there for a few years now!
And yes...I second Alex at MaxRPM. Great guy and great service! He knows his stuff! He's worked on both our 996 and 986!

I appreciate all the help and thanks for welcoming me into the area.
I hope to meet with some of you when I'm in the area.
I'll be making the journey from NY to WA in the turbo so I'll need to find
a detail shop as well. Will keep Max RPM in mind for my services.

Again, I appreciate everyones help.
I'll try to keep all this information stored on my datasheet.
Once I get to seattle, theres going to be a lot of work that needs to be done with the car, ie: coilovers, clutch, flywheel, etc etc so its amazing that i already have somewhere to go to once i get there.
plus get the car detailed to get all the stupid bugs off. ill just have to buy a cheap honda civic or something while i'm there as my dd and put this bad boy in the garage for the weekends.
are there a lot of meets in the area?
