My Mini Cooper S
How difficult is the supercharger pulley? I have a good set of tools and am fairly good at working on cars. I'm also going to get some colder plugs and a new belt to go along with it.

You can probably contact the PS MINI club and likely borrow these tools from one of the members.
I also agree with one of the previous posts, that you should not do the drive pulley. You will get plenty of bang for buck with 15% pulley. I have an 06 and I did the following mods:
- 15% pulley (CravenSpeed)
- Intake (Dinan)
- Cat-back exhaust (Milltek)
- 380cc injectors (JCW)
With these mods I pulled 194 hp at the wheels on the dyno. Then I had the ECU tuned by Jan from RMW, and it is now pulling 206 hp at the wheels.
Congrats, it's a great looking little car.
We need to have a 6sp MINI meet! It seams a lot of us have them.
It is actually pretty easy, however you do need a couple of special tools to make it easier.

James, Alta is right out of Portland! They are super cool to deal with, have some great sales on their web page.
Their products are a little higher then most others, but the quality is there!

I wouldn't go any bigger than 20's. Congrats on the new ride, James. The MCS is definitely a blast to drive. Practically a street legal go-kart. Go black or go home (wheels, roof, grill). I don't like those funky mirrors in the sample pic you posted, however. They remind me of bicycle mirrors. Not that I had mirrors on my bike. Just sayin'.
James.
There are a few different types. Folding & non-folding do not interchange. R53 & R56 also do not interchange.
