Hi Everyone!
We can call the weather early this week. Zero % chance of rain! We had 77 cars last week and we're expecting a very good turnout this week because of the Italian Car show immediately after E@RTC. We may even see a surprise car or two this time!
We will have a drivers meeting at 10:00 AM, leaving for Griot's Garage in Tacoma at exactly 10:15 AM. It takes about 45 minutes to get there from RTC. This event is to replace the Des Moines show that won't happen this year because of construction. As you all may remember, it poured last year at that show so it would be great if we could have a good turnout this year.
We look forward to seeing everyone. Don't forget to hug the parking thugs.

We will be doing something with a Veyron in the not too distant future so everyone will get to see one. (We have to keep some surprises.)

I saw some silver Veyron being put on a tow truck 2 days ago on Bear Creek Parkway next to the parking lot where E@RTC goes on. Wonder if i was having some issues(was being loaded on the side of the road)? Or if its the same one that we will supposedly see soon?

Now we see how rumors start. The Veyron was here for several demos. I picked RTC as a place to meet the Veyron so we could take the car out of town without too much fanfare. Anthony and I drove our cars in case there was a time to run the cars together but traffic got heavy too fast. People noticed the two Lamborghinis and most never saw the Veyron or had any idea what it was. The car was then immediately loaded on the truck after for transport to Los Gatos where it will remain until Monterey. We kept the whole thing as low-key as we could.
We will have a Veyron at RTC sometime later this fall.

Another thing about Veyrons- If you see one loading onto a truck, don't assume there are problems. These cars are wicked expensive to drive and it's often cheaper to throw them on a flatbed to get them across town. Some owners only run 100 octane and run their cars until they are out then flatbed them back to a gas station.
In this case, this was a Reliable Carriers 18 wheeler picking up the car, not something you'd see for a mechanical issue and there is no way to easily load a semi in a parking lot. These carriers are usually longer than an average semi and are very difficult to move around any parking lot.
On Saturday August 7, immediately after RTC, you will see another Reliable Carriers semi loading up four or five cars for Monterey on that same spot. Including the record-breaking Ultimate Aero, which will be at RTC that morning.

I didn't mean to start rumors, a couple of friends who work on the buildings next to RTC told me the story, they only mentioned the Veyron and Anthony's LP640 and made it sound as if the cars had been to the racing game studios.

Is the Bugatti i saw on Facebook going to be there?
