Range Rover Evoque 3dr or 5dr
Range Rover Evoque 3dr or 5dr
I m thinking of trading my 2008 X5 4.8 in and get an Evoque. I am not sure which one to get. I think 3dr looks better but less practical. What do you guys think? And how much in option should I be spending on it? Thanks
I love the 3dr myself, and would be buying a 3dr if I got one. But, I'm single with no kids, and so the extra rear doors aren't a huge deal for me. The 3dr definitely looks better, but the 5dr is nice too.
From what I understand, it's easier to actually find a 3dr right now than a 5dr. And 5drs are going for more money than 3drs because they're just so rare.
All the reviews say that getting into the back in the 3dr is a royal pain, and takes a long time (electric seats). So it seems to me the 3dr is mostly useful for people who would just have those rear seats folded down most of the time.

Would also recommend you drive one if you haven't already. Not confirmed but, think this is basically the turbo 2L Ford Ecotec engine.
Agree, 3 door coupe has better lines than 5 door. Believe roof line on 5 door is @1" higher.
Have seen both, drove 3 door coupe and yes electric seat takes way too long to allow rear access easily.
Very nice however, as a general rule try not to purchase the first year of any new vehicle.

Thank you for all the comments. I test drove a 3dr one this weekend. The engine is not bad, not as much power as my 4.8 BMW but also mean less $$$ at the pump. The 3dr was a pain to get into the back seats.
Yesterday, I placed an order in for a 5dr Prestige (I went with the more classic look) Orkney Grey with Tan/Ivory/Espresso interior and will be arriving in Mid-End of March.

I was given the Evoque Prestige to test out in Dubai by the Range Rover Group and found it rather interesting. The interior was done up great but would have preferred a bigger engine.
