04 was the 1st year for the F22 (2.2L engine) , body style change, and suspension changes. The F22's only rev'd to 8300rpm i think, where the previous AP1's (pre 2004's) rev'd to 9K. All s2k's are 6 speeds. The 04's and up had a slightly different 1-4th ratio to take advantage of their upgraded torque curve.

They are great cars. No rad flags on them really, just make sure to stay on top of normal maintenance and keep an eye on the oil level, etc. I beleive LED tails came in on 04's, but dont quote me on that. The hardtop IS an option and can be ordered from honda, or numerous sites on the web that sell the OEM hardtop for cheaper. If you are looking for one with low miles, my 2005 is for sale right now.

Very reliable cars.

I would suggest an 03 or an 05. The 03 will have the glass soft top rear window and the 2.0liter 9k rev limit. The 05 has the 2.2liter with a 8.3k rev limit.

06 was the first year with traction control and drive by wire.

What worng with the 2004's? Funny thing is there is not a single 2004 listed on Autotrader here... Also i saw "Some" that have a Mesh/Vent thing in the Seat Headrests, What with that?

Nothing is wrong with the 04's, but usually when buying a car you always want the last year. I have an 05, I take favor to them.

The 06+'s will give you easier/better modification gains do the the DBW. The 04 and 05 had throttle bodies.

How?

Theirs no proof to back this, its still the same 2.2 liter motor. If anything the 06 is more of a hassle to mod because the intake system is different as well as the exhaust channel.

True. There are a couple of pipes that don't work, but the majority do now.
Some tuners are finally stepping up to the DBW and there are a lot of supercharging kits out now for the DBW such as Kraftwerkes, Vortec and now Sound of Speed has a new kit out.
The 03's will be remembered though as the last of the true screamers.

It all depends on what you buy, and what supporting mods you have. I had an Amuse r1 titan (non resonated titanium cat back) with a j's test pipe and amuse header. It sounded pretty mean, but it was a single exit exhaust which made it loud. Most people swap out the dual design, but their are some dual systems that do yield some good gains and weigh alot less than oem. I had a dual Amuse r1 on my old s2000 with the same header and test pipe combo, that was nice also.
