TRD Widebody Supra

Well I sold my Viper a couple months back and I just had to get another Supra after regretfully selling my old one this past summer. I found the car on supra forums and lucky for me it was only located 3 hours away in Fremont, CA. The former owner Mike (TestJet) is a great guy and took exceptional care of this car but since he recently purchased a Porsche turbo EVT700 the Supra had to find a new home. Needless to say I'm stoked I made the move quickly as Mike had a lot of interested parties but thankfully everything worked out. The car is currently at John Reed Racing in Portland getting the Motec installed/tuned along with a custom E85 fuel system and a few other odds and ends. Once completed she should put down around 500rwhp on 91 octane pushing only about 16psi and 700+ running E85 at about 26psi. The car only weighs less than 3,400lbs. so it should make for a perfect street setup with great spool and low-end power. One of the big disadvantages of going single on the Supra is the lag and lack of low-end torque but with this turbo and the twin scroll exhaust manifold I'm hoping for good things Future plans for the car next year include an HKS 3.4L stroker, fully prepped race head, Virtual Works or Veilside intake manifold, TRD LSD, Greddy oil cooler, etc.

major specs:

TRD widebody conversion

Full-Race GT4088R twin scroll turbo kit w/ 4" downpipe & midpipe

4" HKS Titanium exhaust

Motec M800 w/ all options & sensors tuned for Flex-Fuel

custom JRR fuel system w/ ID1000 injectors & TTC triple hanger

Tilton triple carbon clutch

AIM strada display w/ custom carbon fiber center panel

Sparco Sportsters

Brembo GT big brake kits- front & rear

KW V3 coilovers

one off custom made Superleggera wheels by OZ:
18x10 (f) 275/35/18 Michelin PS2
18x13 (r) 335/30/18 Michelin PS2

I won't have the car back for a few weeks but in the mean time here's a few pics before being sent up to John Reed. Full photoshoot, dyno numbers, write-up etc. coming soon

Thats a gorgeous red Supra!!
I think the TRD widebody kit is one of the best things you can do to that car! Super subtle and aggressive at the same time!

Looks great. It's not too often these days you see the TRD kit on a supra.
