Infiniti M45 - Feedback from current/former owners

6speeders:

I'm in need a daily beater in a bad way. I'm close to doing a deal on an 06 Infiniti M45. On the surface, the car is pretty sharp. The styling is not so great but it's nice enough to take clients in, etc. The power and torque are fairly good and the interior is quite nice. Having said that, I've never owned an Infiniti and would appreciate any feedback from folks that have an 06 M35 or M45.

I thought about the BMW M5 for quite a while...but I can't justify that type of expense on a daily beater! The M45 seems like a good, albeit less substantial, alternative.

Your feedback is appreciated.

I'm currently driving an M35 as a loaner while I'm waiting on a replacement for my FX35 that has 55k on the clock. My FX was great, thus my decision to get another one. The M is terrific, and I absolutely would consider one if I didn't need an awd with storage.

My wife loves her 2006 M45 it has everything Tech package, every option nice ride very comfortable gets moving on the freeway lots of trunk space. Bottom line it doesn't compare to an M5 which I tried to talk my wife into, it's her car I would much rather be in my C4. I think it would be a better car for taking clients very quite inside great sound system.

I've had the 2006 m45 and 2000 m5.... if you're talking about the new m5, thats a different animal.

As for the 2006 m45, great car/value/overrall for the price with lots of options and hi-tech gadgets, ie - keyless entry, dvd/nav, aerokit, bose, intelligent cruise. It doesnt handle as tight as a BMW tho, but pretty sufficient for a base Nissan. The 2000 m5 is a sick beast, raw power and superb handling, sporty & comfortable and of course, you can take clients in it. Both cars get very bad gas mileage, around 16 mpg.

Good luck!
